This tomato comes from the Agro Nocerino Sarnese area, in the Campania region, which is largely covered by volcanic materials. Its shape is thin and pointed, while the pulp is thick and fleshy. Being poor in water and seeds, it is suitable for quick cooking, keeping its original flavour in preserves and other peeled tomato products.
